A major investment planned this summer presents the opportunity to be General Manager of the George in the heart of fashionable Twickenham, placing it firmly as a leader in the local market place.



Situated on the high street the George benefits from its proximity to Twickenham Rugby Stadium. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver high volumes of food and drink on Rugby events as well as the networking skills to connect with local and national rugby organisations/clubs



As well as the business from local offices, commuters, shoppers river visitors the pub benefits from big known for its venue night time trade and the transformation upon investment will leave it with few local competitors for lunch time foor trade.



The George is a single bar high street operation with a beer garden with bar that doubles the covers on offer

Role & Responsibilities

As a General Manager you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of the business.

With the desire to excel, succeed and win, ideally you will have a clear understanding of high-street / late-night operations and how to drive sales and grow profit in this highly competitive environment. You will be energetic and focused, and able to adapt to the demands of both the food and entertainment elements of the business. With fantastic people skills you will have the ability to lead, motivate and develop your team and engage your customers. You will need to be genuinely passionate about hospitality and will have the ability to consistently deliver high quality and exceptional standards across your business. Excellent presentation and efficient customer service are key so you will be service-obsessed and have great attention to detail.
