The Business

The Crown & Horseshoes is located in a beautiful area with a strong community feel. The public house has a very large garden which delivers very strong sales during the summer period. To support the summer period the business also has an outside bar in the garden area as well as a very large fully functional BBQ. This has shown to be very popular with families and residents during the summer period.

The business is quieter during the winter period, which is a great opportunity to drive sales.

Food is the heart of the business and its main attraction. The menu has fantastic options suitable for all, with regular offers to enhance those sales.

In the near future the business is due to undergo a refurbishment and is in like for like growth and beating budget for the year.

Live-In Accommodation: The accommodation is a generous sized single room (16.5 feet by 11.5 feet) located above the public house. The accommodation consists of a shared bathroom and kitchen with the General Manager. The single room and shared accommodation are in good condition.

Role & Responsibilities

As Kitchen Manager, you will support the General Manager in all aspects of the successful management of the kitchen side of the business.

With fantastic people skills and previous management experience, you will be committed to leading, inspiring and developing a fantastic team. You will be passionate about preparing and presenting food to consistent company/brand specification and exceptional standards. You will be customer-focused and will work with the front of house operation to provide excellent service - ultimately ensuring a fantastic guest experience!

With the ability to adhere to policies and procedures, you will ensure a safe, tidy and hygienic working environment at all times. You will also be responsible for monitoring and dealing with any equipment maintenance issues, maintaining accurate food ordering and stocking levels and completing timely and accurate stock counts. With the ability to work to targets you will manage wastage through correct portion control and records and will also assist in delivering other financial targets set for the business.
