The Business

The Fort St George is an amazing opportunity for an experienced couple /Person who is looking to move into a Premium venue. The Fort St George is an idyllic looking pub situated on the prestigious Midsummer Common in Cambridge. It is a destination venue which attracts tourists, locals and students from far and wide. The pub has several appealing characteristics like ingle nook fire places and the original beams. The Fort has a large outside trading area consisting of an outside bar and BBQ area where it can cater for up to 300 people.

Average weekly turnover: £30,000
Split Wet/Food: 70/30
Live-In Manager’s Accommodation: 3 bed accommodation.

Role & Responsibilities

As a General Manager you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of the business.

With fantastic people skills you will have the ability to lead, motivate and develop your team and engage your customers. You will need to be genuinely passionate about hospitality and will have the ability to consistently deliver high quality and exceptional standards across your business. Excellent presentation and efficient customer service are key so you will be service-obsessed and have great attention to detail. With the desire to excel, succeed and win, you will have a proven track-record in driving business to achieve outstanding sales and profit growth.
