EVENT SALES MANAGER

VENUE:                

High volume, independent, exciting venue with a large event focus

ROLE OVERVIEW:

A sales executive position has opened up at, a thriving Central London events venue. We are looking for a high performing Event Sales Manager to help us expand our Corporate and conferencing private events business. The role has opportunities for progression as well as a competitive salary and incentive scheme with an OTE of £36,800

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the effective management and planning of all proactive and reactive event sales and enquires across two high profile London venues
  • To sell and upsell events throughout the venue including daytime conferences and meetings; working with targets to maximise business and manipulate minimum spend parameters
  • Initiating new revenue opportunities from existing clients and developing business leads and gaining exposure from new and potential clients across London
  • Achieving set budgets and targets by successfully converting business

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:

  • A sales driven individual with an outgoing, bubbly and positive personality
  • At least one year experience in previous B2B sales positions
  • A strong understanding of the hospitality events industry
  • Exceptional organisational and administration skills
  • Target driven and proactive personality
  • A proven ability to think and act with speed and efficiency in fast paced environment
  • A background in developing corporate client relationships at senior management level
  • To be an articulate self-starter with an excellent work ethic                
  • Competent in all written and spoken English
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft office or similar software

Desirable:

  • Conference operations experience
  • Knowledge of event CRM systems
