The Ideal Candidate

You will be the face of our business, interacting with customers and ensuring their visit is one to remember for all the right reasons.  Our Front of House staff greet customers, explain the menu and our cooking process, answer any queries they may have, take the orders, input order onto the till orders to the Back of House staff and serve food and drink. Other duties include preparing the bill and taking payment, as well as cleaning and setting-up tables.  You will strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and deliver a truly exceptional experience.  Additionally, you will want to progress within the company and help new recruits to deliver excellence. Own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the opening and closing of the restaurant and bar as required

Greet customers with a friendly smile, seat them and deliver menus

Explain our menu and cooking processes to the customer and answer any queries

Take food and drinks orders and ensure these are correctly processed

Ensure all food and drinks are correctly and promptly delivered to the customer

Ensure the customer is happy with their order

Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws 

Be involved with and contribute to at all team meetings 

Carry out instructions as given by management

Moving Up:

In addition to the above, you will want to take on the following responsibilities:

Assist with ensuring stock counts are accurate and completed on time 

Assist with maintaining accurate ordering and stocking levels

Assist with cellar management and maintenance

Assist with training of junior staff including standards of service and dealing with complaints

The Yew Tree will be opening shortly after extensive refurbishment and is located in an affluent village in the Hambleden Valley with clientele expected to come from Marlow, Henley-on-Thames and surrounding villages.  It is fully expected that the Yew Tree will quickly become a destination venue for those looking to celebrate superb food and drink in beautiful surroundings.
