Ashwell is a beautiful and affluent village located in north Hertfordshire. The village is close to the towns of Royston, Baldock, Letchworth and Hitchin. Ashwell is only 15 miles from the city of Cambridge and London is only 45 miles away by car. The main railway line that runs from Kings Cross to Cambridge services Ashwell. The parish church of St Mary the Virgin dates almost entirely from the 14th century and is renowned for its ornate church tower which stands at 176 feet.
