Press / PR Account Manager – Senior Account Manager

London – East

£30k+ (dependent on the person, experience and attitude!)

We are currently looking for a PR Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to join the team of an exciting new creative comms agency.

Bored of the same old agencies and tired of a tired press office function that means the same mundane work day in and day out? Want the creative to lead over the commercial? Then this is the agency for you.

This agency is looking to upstage the status quo, breaking away from the industry limits; they are looking for candidates that have the same attitude.

The PR Account Manager / Senior Account Manager role will report directly into Senior Account Director and Associate Director level as well as access to the co-owners, both of whom have been in the comms and creative industry for over 20 years.

The agency is looking for someone dynamic, quirky, confident, hard-working, with personality who’s not afraid to express their own ideas whether big or small and is ready to hit the ground running, working well in a fast-paced environment.

An interest and demonstrable experience in lifestyle, restaurant, food and music comms would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities;

  • First point of contact for press enquiries on leading consumer accounts
  • Key client liaison
  • Central to creative conception and campaign work  
  • Drafting of key press materials (like a person, not a robot)
  • Monitor and share key trends in the industry  
  • Liaise with content partners
  • Demonstrate and maintain strong relations with all areas of media; including digital influencers and traditional press including consumer magazines, national papers
  • Be proactive in helping with new business leads and wins
  • Lead on running large-scale campaigns from start to finish – from budgets to sell in
  • Management of Account Executive, Account Assistant and Intern level team members

Key Requirements;

  • Life experience over a leading degree
  • A positive, proactive and passionate attitude and bright personality
    • Food, restaurant, hospitality, music and lifestyle media contacts preferable
    • Knows the media inside and out (social to digital to traditional to emerging)
    • Wants to be part of a fast growing and fast paced agency that can succeed together
    • Clear, proven understanding of achieving results and smashing targets
    • Proven experience of being a strong account manager – both for client accounts, media and internal team management
