Bar Steward at Bourne End Community Centre
Hours: Full time over 7 days
Bourne End Community Centre is a well established centre for community and family activities with approx 700 members. We are looking for an experienced and motivated bar steward to run the bar at the Community Centre.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, professional, hard working team player and personal licence holder or suitability to become one.
Overall management of the bar
Bar and cellar work
Cash handling, daily till management
Experience of bar management within clubs or pubs
Professional and hard working
Ability to deal with people
Confident with a can do attitude
A key team player and motivator
The successful applicant will be required to complete a 3 month probation period.
Bourne End Community Centre was opened in 1967 and has rooms available for hire by local groups and individuals. The bar is used by people attending activities at the Community Centre and by our members. Activities range from club meetings to weddings and family parties to community events including shows and cinema.
The bar is open weekday evenings (early opening on Fridays) and weekend lunchtimes and evenings. Contracted hours to be agreed. The bar is run by a management committee of volunteers and your line manager will be guided by the management committee. This position has become available due to the retirement of a long serving steward.
