This Taphouse sits on the edge of the peak district within the Staffordshire Moorlands in the heart of the small village, Biddulph Moor. Built from stone at the turn of the century and is much the same now as it was then and the village is set in an outstanding area of English countryside.

The Rose and Crown is a true Moors pub, perched on a rise and fully exposed and you’re totally captive when the weather sets in. If you venture out you will find spectacular views and find a warm welcome on your return. On most days, you will see smoke wisping reassuringly from the stone chimney which makes popping in difficult to resist.

The trip between the Rose and Crown and our Taphouse the Prince of Wales, Congleton is well worth the picturesque journey and is a mere 5 miles. Internally the pub has a quarry tiled and stone front bar where you will often find the local farmers. Outside there is a beer garden, a good size car park, and the bus stops right outside. In addition, there is a small smoking shelter to the rear.  

Trading Style:

The only pub in the heart of the village, The Rose and Crown is central to the community and very welcoming. It’s fantastic for walkers and well-behaved mutts and it is not unusual to see the odd tractor parked in the car park. 

This site has an excellent reputation for live music, cask ales and holds a strong position at the heart of the community not to mention its themed food evenings and pie nights. The Brewery is looking for an experienced, traditional pub operator who has a passion for real ales, excellent service standards and who is ready to embed themselves in the local community.
