We are looking to recruit an experienced area manager here at Blind Tiger Inns.
Following two years of successful growth, and with some amazing new pubs in the pipeline, its time for us to add to our head office team.
Role to start early 2019
North West based, approximately 80% in field, 20% head office
Full P&L responsibility for up to 12 pubs
Part of a small and dynamic team
ABOUT THE ROLE
Supported by the head office team, you will take total control of your group of pubs. From recruitment, to training, to standards audits, to maintenance and compliance and event and promotion planning…. There’s loads to go at, and no two days are ever the same.
We have a schedule for visiting your sites, with a framework that works for the business, but the real detail and creativity that makes the pub excel, that is down to you and the pub manager.
We are a chain of pubs, but not a brand as such, so we want the managers of the individual pubs to have decision making responsibility too. The area manager needs to use their experience and knowledge, combined with that of the pub manager, to plan and execute the best for the business.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
With your experience of multi-site pub management, you will have the skills to be able to identify with and relate to our pub manager team, and indeed our customer base. Without great pub managers and loyal customers, there is no pub!
You will know your way around a P&L and be able to work through these with our pub managers. The business has a lot of bonuses, that we want to pay the managers; its down to you to help them achieve their maximum earning potential.
Excel and IT skills will be required to a competent level from both an operational perspective (i.e. forecasting / margin calculation) and to access and benefit from our EPOS system.
Recruitment is key in this industry, and you should be able to demonstrate how you go about being great at this. Great recruitment is what will define how the area manager role will pan out
It is our view that there should be a lot of focus on running the pub, so we try and keep paperwork and reports to a minimum. This leaves time for developing events, plans and promotions. We are interested in meeting people who know how to plan, and more importantly deliver great calendars of events.
IN RETURN WE OFFER
Competitive salary, to be discussed dependent on experience, with OTE of £45-50k
