An excellent opportunity has arisen at the George Inn at Norton St Philip, on the outskirts of Bath, for an aspiring Second Chef looking for a new challenge. This historic Grade 1* listed property with outstanding views has an excellent reputation for its high standards of food and customer experience.
The George is a multi-site business, including management of the Fleur de Lys pub opposite the George and with accommodation on site and in a separate bespoke bed and breakfast facility, so the needs of the business are varied meaning flexibility with shift patterns is an essential requirement.
We are looking for a Second Chef who can assist in delivering a core menu and seasonal specials from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and can manage all aspects of the kitchen.
Management and development of the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Ability to produce and present modern dishes.
Great team player & motivator
You will already be a Second Chef looking for personal development
Able to work unsupervised and develop junior team members
Have experience of working with fresh produce
Ambitious and career oriented
There is an option to live in with this position with a salary of up to £25,000 per annum dependent on experience. In addition, there is a bonus scheme and great employee benefits.
