For any General Manager, Fuller’s is a special company to work for. You’ll get lots of help and support from Head Office when you need it, but also plenty of encouragement to put your own spin on the pub.

You can take plenty of pride in the role too, knowing that Fuller’s ales, food and service has a reputation as some of the very best in the business.

You’ll need to be commercially minded, making the right decisions to keep customers pouring through the doors. Importantly though, you’ll be a people-person too - mindful that to many, you’re still a good old-fashioned ‘Landlord’.

And of course, you’ll have a team to look after. So we’re looking for somebody with true leadership qualities – able to keep both the customers and the team smiling.

The Hand & Flower provides a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term challenge in running a complex pub with rooms. The Olympia Exhibition Centre opposite is embarking on a 5 year multi-million pound investment plan and the ideal candidate will develop a strategy and investment plan to run in tangent to this. It goes without saying that there’ll be a strong focus on building, developing and motivating a great team as well as creating a long-term relationship with both visitors to the area and the local community. This is a role suitable for someone who is looking to drive a well-established business forward, and make the most out of a site opposite what will be one of London’s biggest tourist attractions. Room experience is not essential for this role, but the new General Manager must have the ability to manage big fluctuations in trade and have a record of building and growing a business. Impeccable attention to detail is essential.

The pub itself is a beautiful Victorian pub & hotel with eight bedrooms in a century-old, historic building. The pub is in the heart of Hammersmith and just a short walk from Earl’s Court and Olympia. The food offer is fresh and seasonal and the bar has a selection of real ales that entice both tourists and locals alike. The large airy bar with high ceilings and traditional features is the perfect location to grab a drink and bite to eat before or after attending an event nearby and benefits from being one of the closed hotels to the exhibition halls. Upstairs, a function room compete with bar, offers the a great private hire space for both corporate and private events.
