The Turk’s Head in Twickenham is a traditional, bright pub and is a true icon of the community. It attracts a regular customer base of local residents, families and sport fans alike and always has a bustling trade on Rugby Days due to its proximity to Twickenham stadium. The Turk’s Head is next to St. Margaret’s station, a short walk to the river and equidistant from both Twickenham and Richmond station. The Turk’s Head hosts many events for the local community, and due to the large function room and beautiful beer garden manages a good amount of private hires, and is a popular choice for weddings. The ability for you and your team to adapt to very different customers is essential as often the pub will host various events simultaneously. As the GM of the Turks head, you will maximise the use of all the space available and look to expand on the already varied and exciting calendar of events, ranging from comedy nights and speaking events right through to corporate bookings.
The Turk’s Head requires a General Manager who is committed to engraining themselves in the local St. Margaret’s community and will ensure that the pub continues to be all things to all people. It provides an amazing opportunity for someone who is focussed on building, motivating and developing a strong team and who is looking to drive a much loved and very well-established business forward. It is key that the General Manager is personable, enjoys keeping perfect beers and possesses excellent customer service and communication skills, which is what keeps this business successful. The next General Manager will be super organised and able to plan well ahead, maintaining excellent back of house systems and processes allowing you to focus on the team and customers.
Ultimately, the smiles on faces, the return visits and the positive reviews are all down to you - making this one of the most rewarding jobs in the hospitality business.
