General Manager: SALT Bar & Kitchen/SALT Beer Factory Taproom
A rare opportunity for an experienced F&B General Manager at a high-volume site in the heart of Saltaire. The venue itself was the subject of a £2m investment by parent company Ossett Brewery in 2018 and is a state-of-the-art craft keg and cask brewery, with an unrivalled Taproom and adjoining Bar & Kitchen - all housed in a Grade II Listed Edwardian Tramshed. Saltaire is a UNESCO World Heritage Village and has evolved into a real destination for beer lovers.
Such a unique venue requires a person of the highest calibre who has a comprehensive understanding of craft beer, real ale and artisan gins, who can also oversee a large food operation which includes wood-fired pizza and a la carte menu. Both the Brewery Taproom and adjoining bar hold regular, well-attended events which include gigs, showtime nights, comedy nights and quizzes.
Strong people-management skills are vital to lead a large team made up of assistant managers, supervisors, bar and waiting staff, whilst also liaising with the brewery, kitchen and Head Office teams. SALT Beer Factory and SALT Bar & Kitchen together form the mothership of the SALT brand which is expanding rapidly across the North of England. The successful candidate will be a passionate, knowledgeable ambassador of everything SALT.
