Sous Chef: Stunning high-quality gastro pub operation

Location: Set within a stunning location close to Holmes Chapel/Knutsford

Salary: Up to £27,000 depending on experience plus bonus

Stunning restaurant/gastro operation with a quality offering is looking for an experienced Sous Chef looking for progression.

The operation is a quirky quality pub operation which has a great outside area along with private dining.

Serving quality fresh locally sourced produce and an array of quality ales, wines, gins & ports, the operation is popular with all walks of life and is popular with the farming, professional, local regulars and visitors alike, whether it be for a spot of lunch, an after work meal or drink...or a special occasion.

The company are well-established, yet still growing and have won awards for their operations and everything they touch is a success so there is potential progression available for the right candidate.

The kitchen is busy and bustling and there is a great team of both chefs and front of house staff.

The role would suit a current Sous Chef from a gastro pub or restaurant background and who is maybe working for a more branded fresh food operator but is now looking to join a smaller company where they can use their flair and creativity a bit more.

All dishes are made from fresh locally sourced produce and cooked from scratch with a leaning towards quality fresh gastro pub-style food.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Experienced Sous Chef or Junior Sous ready for progression from a quality restaurant or gastro pub background
  • The ability to produce high quality dishes made from fresh locally sourced produce
  • To work closely with your team to ensure that the team are working efficiently and food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, served efficiently and is consistent
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage, motivate & support the kitchen team
  • The ability to monitor stock control and manage GPs, ensuring stock rotation and portion control as well as daily ordering
  • Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef ensuring that it is always kept to the highest standards and complying with all H & S and food hygiene policies and regulations
  • A passion for high quality fresh food and a commitment to great service
  • Experience of working within a high-volume environment
  • The desire to work for a quality company who are going from strength to strength and can offer amazing development opportunities for the right candidate
  • Driving licence & own transport due to location.

Salary package: Starting salary for this role is £27,000 plus various benefits and progression for the right candidate.
