General Manager – Cock & Bottle

Salary: 32,000k + Bonus + Live In Accommodation

OTE/Bonus Potential: £6,000 -£8,000 P/a

Location: Notting Hill, London

Experience required: At least 2 years GM

The Cock & Bottle is a real ‘heart of the community’ pub, set just off Westbourne Grove.  With original heritage features, a well-appointed first floor function room, and south facing outside space, this is a really special venue that is much beloved by the locals who frequent it.  This traditional West London pub specialises in keeping our neighbours and visitors alike well fed and watered. We take pride on being more than just a pub; we are a reassuringly established institution!!

We are now looking for a General Manager that loves creating a buzzy, friendly and energetic atmosphere and will embrace becoming part of the community. They should also have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to carry on building an impressive calendar of events to keep our customers coming back for more.

About our General Manager:

  • Innovative, confident and pro-active approach.
  • A real host! A charming and engaging personality that can build great relationships with staff and customers.
  • Working knowledge of a drinks focused venue – cellar/stock management is an essential requirement.
  • Suitable experience and be comfortable working in an autonomous environment where primary business decisions are made at a site level.
  • Some experience of a venue that knows how to deliver great sport.
  • Proactive in finding new business opportunities, networking and confident with marketing.
  • Proven track record of controlling and managing budgets, Health & Safety and overall compliance.
  • A General Manager that can help develop their staff through our company-wide Management Training Programmes.

 Some or all of the following skills would be advantageous:

  • Passion and dedication to attention to detail across all areas of the business
  • Knowledge of local and international craft beer trends and wine regions.
  • A passion for fun-filled pub events and the ability to plan a diverse year-round calendar.
  • Personal License.
  • Experience in delivering an evolving and seasonal food offer
  • Previous experience dealing with social media accounts and marketing-based sales campaigns.
