A rare and wonderful opportunity has become available to be the new General Manager of The Fox & Goose Hotel in Ealing.

The biggest hotel in the estate, the Fox & Goose boasts 80 stylish, beautiful bedrooms as well as a large dining area and bar, serving freshly-prepared food and great drinks. Events and functions is an important, developing part of the offer. The pub and gardens were recently refurbished to transform it into the leading destination in the immediate area.

This role is multi-faceted. You will not only be manage a large team of more than 40, but lead a team of departmental managers. You’ll also be required to represent the business externally working closely, with prospective corporate clients, sourcing new direct booking business. You will be energetic, engaging and a skilled verbal and written communicator. You must be able to work independently and make things happen. You will naturally be collaborative, enjoying working in a team and building great working relationships across the business.  

This is a live out position and we are looking for an existing, experienced General Manager. Previous hotel bedroom experience isn’t essential but considered an advantage.

For any General Manager, Fuller’s is a special company to work for. You’ll get lots of help and support from the Support Centre when you need it, but also plenty of encouragement to put your own spin on the pub.

You can take plenty of pride in the role too, knowing that Fuller’s ales, food and service has a reputation as some of the very best in the business.

You’ll need to be commercially minded, making the right decisions to keep customers pouring through the doors. Importantly though, you’ll be a people-person too - mindful that to many, you’re still a good old-fashioned ‘Landlord’.

And of course, you’ll have a team to look after. So we’re looking for somebody with true leadership qualities – able to keep both the customers and the team smiling.

  • You’ll be great at leading a team
  • You should be highly motivated and commercially focused
  • You’ll need to be a great communicator
  • You should have previous management experience
